PRINCESS GARDEN snooker handicap league.
Of the 48 matches that were played this week, over half were won on either the pink (9) or black (17) with one of them being a re spotted black.

Three players remain unbeaten winning 6 from 6, Robbie Kilpatrick of Services Short Cue
Wonders, Connor Davies of St Thomas’ Tower and Bob Salkeld of Mechanics A

St. Brelade Steelers 5-3 Tower Pirates
Gary Boschat (14) won against Tony Le Poidevin (-7)
Sean McDonald (-7) drew with Stephen Wilson (28)
Karl Le Fevre (-21) lost to Stephen Morgan (7)
Craig Jones (35) won against Ben Garnier (42)

St Brelade remain unbeaten in the league thanks to a 5-3 home win against Tower Pirates
Gary Boschat played his best snooker for a couple of years in defeating the in-form Tony Le Poidevin. Boschat ran in a break of 32 in the first frame to win it convincingly by 94 points to 52. The second frame was slightly closer but a 22 break by Boschat, (who is sporting his new Dennis Taylor styled glasses), was enough to see him over the line.
Steve Wilson comfortably beat Sean McDonald in their first frame and potted some excellent balls along the way. However, McDonald tightened his game up in the second frame and a couple of snookers towards the end of the frame saw him gain 20 points in fouls and eventually win it on the pink.
Karl Le fevre looked in his usual dominating form in his first frame with Steve Morgan, but he broke down on a break of 38 when perfectly placed on the black and several reds at his mercy. Morgan played solid snooker to win the frame on the pink. Le Fevre couldn’t get going at all in the second frame, and Morgan ran out an easy winner to claim a very good 2-0 win over Le Fevre.
With Steve Thomas away on holiday, Craig Jones stepped in as sub and performed superbly well to beat his work colleague and Pirates Captain Ben Garnier 2-0. Jones was giving away 7 points per frame but potted some excellent balls to comfortably beat Garnier in the first frame. The second frame got a little bit bogged down but Jones nicked it on the pink to win the match for St Brelade’s.

St Aubin Warriors 6-2 Mechanics Snatchers
Byron Le Cornu (42) won against Guy Heys (0)
Comfortable winner in the first and won the second on the pink
Rene Turmel (42) drew with Ross Symes (-35)
Having a 77 start in each frame was always going to be a hard task to Ross to make up, which it proved to be in the first frame with Rene winning it comfortably. In the second with the help of a couple of mini breaks of 21 and 26 and points gained from fouls clawed his way back into the frame which would be decided on the pink for Rene and pink and black for Ross, Rene had several chances to pot pink but it was Ross who eventually potted the last two colours to win on the black
Aaron Canavan (-63) won against Gary Britton (-63)
First time in a number of years since both Island Snooker Champions played against each other in a league game. Aaron having just returned from playing in a tournament in Hull and reaching the quarter final was in good form. After tactical play from both players and with both missing a couple of opportunities, Aaron was first to score with a 22 but missed the black leaving Gary with a half chance at a red which he failed to get and left Aaron on, from which he made a 55 to clinch the frame. The second took a similar route with tactics from both with neither making the most of their chances when at the table until Aaron made a 45 to take the frame. Robert Le Moel (35) drew with Jeremy Gogan (-7) Jeremy won the first making a break of 30 and then making a clearance of 27 to win it on the black , second was also a close game with Robert winning it on the pink.

Tower Pocket Rockets 6-2 St Lawrence Miniature Rifle Club
Daniel Cavey (0) drew with Jordan Proctor (35)
Daniel won the first on the pink
Ryan Yates (14) drew with David Proctor (7)
David was a comfortable winner in the first with a break of 40 and limiting Ryan to just one red, Ryan played better in the second taking his opportunities and was himself a comfortable winner
James Martin (7) won against Martin Houguez (35)
James won both on the black Nathan Piziura (7) won against Andre Bonjour (35). Nathan was a comfortable winner in both.

Mechanics A 5-3 Services Short Cue Wonders
Bob Salkeld (35) won against Lee Travers (7)
Bob winning both on the black Ernie Bird (42) lost to Robbie Kilpatrick (0) despite giving 42 start Robbie played well, Ernie required snookers in each frame with just pink and black remaining which he failed to get, Robbie has now won 6 from 6
