SNOOKER REPORT TUESDAY 19TH NOVEMBER 2019

PRINCESS GARDEN snooker handicap league.

Top four teams win, so positions remain unchanged but St Thomas’ Tower and Services Short Cue Wonders have 2 more frames to play.
4 weeks ago Vinchelez were bottom of the league having only won one match in the first seven weeks which was the first week of the season. They have now won three in a row and have moved from bottom to 6th place.

Mechanics B 3-5 St Brelade Steelers
Bob Rondel (42) drew with Sean McDonald (-7) both win their respective frame on the black
Bob Proper (42) lost to Gary Boschat (14) Gary was a comfortable winner in both frames
Richard Corbett (42) drew with Karl Le Fevre (-21) Richard won the first on the black. In the second, Karl was in top form making a break of 52 and 58 to win it by a comfortable margin 135 to 68
Jerry Le Brocq (35) drew with Steve Thomas (0) Jerry was a comfortable winner in the first with Steve being completely outplayed only scoring 13 points, Steve rallied to take the second 96 to 66 to avoid his first defeat.

Mechanics A 3-5 Vinchelez
Paul Bradbury (42) lost to Fran Savarese (28) After a long wait Fran eventually wins his first match of the season, winning the first on the black.
Bob Salkeld (35) drew with Stuart Simon (42) Bob eventually won the first when Stuart failed to get the required snooker with just pink and black left on the table. Stuart turned the next frame completely around by winning it comfortably.
Ernie Bird (42) lost to Alastair Simon (14) Ernie still looking for his first win of the season and Alastair winning for the 4th week in a row.
Phil Papworth (28) won against Phil Romeril (-7) Phil Papworth was a comfortable winner in both.

Tower Pocket Rockets 1-5 St Thomas’ Tower (to be completed)
Daniel Cavey (0) drew with Bob Denison (21) Bob winning the first on the pink and Daniel winning his frame on the black
Ryan Yates (14) lost to Connor Davies (-21) Connor was a comfortable winner in both.
Nathan Piziura (7) lost to Herbie Bruggraber (28) Herbie was a comfortable winner in both.

St Aubin Warriors 5-3 Tower Beans
Robert Le Moel (35) drew with John Mahoney (35) Robert made hard work of winning the first frame when it looked likely to be a comfortable win, when Robert failed to pot an easy last red, John clawed his way back and was unfortunate when potting the blue that he snookered himself on the pink, after giving a couple of fouls Robert potted the pink to take the frame. John made up for it to take the second comfortably.
Aaron Canavan (-63) drew with Andy Richardson (-7) both players winning their respective frame on the black. Aaron won the first with a 23 and a really good 22 clearance. The second Aaron made a 44 and when on 36 looked likely to take the frame when with just the colours remaining only needed yellow and green for Andy to require a snooker but got a bad kick when potting the yellow and snookered himself on the green, although he got out of it Andy went on to pot green to pink and just failed the black, Aaron also missed his attempt and Andy made no mistake on his second chance.
Rene Turmel (42) drew with Aubrey Rive (14) both winning their respective frame on the pink.
Byron Le Cornu (42) won against Stephen Rive (35) Byron won the first potting a good black but was a comfortable winner in the second thanks to a bad run of unfortunate fouls from Stephen

Tower Pirates 1-5 Services Short Cue Wonders (to be completed)
Tony Le Poidevin (-7) lost to Robbie Kilpatrick (0) Tony was only giving a 7 point start but wasn’t quite on song, Robbie won the first on the black and a comfortable winner in the second
Stephen Wilson (28) lost to Lee Travers (7) Lee a comfortable winner in the first and won the second on the black
Stephen Morgan (7) drew with Curt Tindall (28) both comfortable winners in their respective frame, first appearance of the season for Curt.

St Lawrence Miniature Rifle Club 4-4 Mechanics Snatchers
Jordan Proctor (35) drew with Gary Britton (-63) Gary was giving the maximum start of 84 and had to be on top form in order to have a chance of taking a frame. Gary played well enough in the first to score 101 but eventually lost the frame on the pink. Gary did take the second 119 to 92 with the help of a 54.
David Proctor (7) drew with Guy Heys (7)
both comfortable winners in their respective frame win
Andre Bonjour (35) lost to Ross Symes (-35) in the first Ross potted well with breaks of 38 and 31 and at the same time kept Andre off the table. In the second Andre managed to score on the reds leaving Ross 44 behind with one red left, Ross laid some good snookers that had Andre in trouble and courtesy of some free balls Ross managed to fight back and win on the black
Martin Houguez (35) won against Jeremy Gogan (7) Martin played well with Jeremy finding himself needing several snookers with reds left on the table and the frame was conceded. Frame 2 Martin once again potted well and Jeremy conceded on the colours
