John made up for it to take the second comfortably.
Aaron Canavan (-63) drew with Andy Richardson (-7) both players winning their respective frame on the black. Aaron won the first with a 23 and a really good 22 clearance. The second Aaron made a 44 and when on 36 looked likely to take the frame when with just the colours remaining only needed yellow and green for Andy to require a snooker but got a bad kick when potting the yellow and snookered himself on the green, although he got out of it Andy went on to pot green to pink and just failed the black, Aaron also missed his attempt and Andy made no mistake on his second chance.
