St Aubins won the 2024-25 Team Billiard League last night.
Going into the last week with a 6 point lead over Services, St Aubins confirmed victory scoring 15 points in a loss against Tower Royals 18 – 15
Services were away to Tower and eventually lost 19 – 12 to Tower Tree, who eventually gained 2nd place overall, with Services 3rd and the Tower Royals in 4th.
A special mention to St Aubins player Bert Soyer, who at 94 years old played all but 1 game this year and came joint 8th in most points scored this season. Surely he is the JBSA’s oldest Champion!!! Well done Bert.
Karl Le Fevre won the averages with 106 points with Richard De La Haye and Paul Destro joint second on 91.
Highest break in the league was by Clayton Coates with a fine 68 break in week 2 with the only other notable break by Karl Le Fevre with a 66 break in week 5.
The Billiards Team Knockout will take place at The Jersey Mechanics next week on Wednesday 26th March. The 1st division final will be between St Aubin and Tower Tree on table 7. The 2nd Division Final will be between Services and Tower Royals on table 6. Matches will start at 7 o clock.
