Coates wins Jersey Billiards Championship

Clayton Coates won his first Island Billiards Championship at the Jersey Mechanics recently.

Clayton’s opponent was Brett Campbell who was making his 3rd final appearance in a row.

Unfortunately during the 2 hour plus match, Clayton struggled with bad leg cramps and at halfway through the second half of the match, needed a 10 minutes stretch to sort out the issue. However, undeterred, he eventually ran out 500 – 392 winner.

President Byron Le Cornu presented the trophy to Clayton and thanks Howard Smith for refereeing and Karl Le Fevre for running the in match scoring.
