In view of the current exceptional circumstances, which are beyond our control, and the response from members, it has been decided to postpone all league fixtures for at least the next two weeks.

This decision has not been taken lightly, since there is only 3 weeks to go to the end of the season but at the end of the day the welfare of our members and their families must come first.

You just don’t know what is round the corner.

The Inter Insular trip to Guernsey on 24/26th April has also been postponed until further notice.

We will review the situation every couple of weeks and once we have the all clear we can continue with the fixtures, the season will be extended and It really doesn’t matter if the leagues are not finished until May or June.

We have a lot of members over the age of 65 and the advice from the States:

All Islanders over 65 immediately practice ‘social distancing’ “

We cannot take any unnecessary risks.

If you want to continue playing your individual games, that is entirely your choice, if you do please arrange it with your opponent and notify Tower of your intentions.

Please take care.
